I was tasked with redesigning Zink’s Spring Fashion issue, with the goal of creating cleaner layouts to complement the bold, edgy tone of their content. Letting the visuals speak louder helped clarify Zink’s voice and elevate the brand’s fiercely styled attitude.
Serving as Art Director for this issue, I oversaw cover and editorial spreads with a focus on striking imagery and crisp typography. Page layouts were built in QuarkXPress and polished in Photoshop, with attention to pacing that kept readers turning pages.
In addition to print, I designed a companion web page—an early example of how editorial brands were beginning to extend their voice online. Though built on a simple framework by today’s standards, it provided a digital presence to amplify the issue’s release.
