Live Nation's Setlist

Setlist is Live Nation’s fan-driven concert platform, built around an established community and a familiar digital experience. I partnered with Live Nation’s content creative leadership to refine the existing Setlist identity—removing the legacy “.fm,” developing an evolved brand system, and extending it into the new Setlist Shop. The objective wasn’t reinvention, but a seamless evolution that could introduce commerce without creating friction for the existing audience.

Challenge.

The challenge was balancing progress with recognition. Setlist already had an established visual language and highly engaged audience, so imposing a polished corporate redesign would have solved the wrong problem. The identity needed greater clarity and ownership while remaining accessible and native to the existing experience.

The creative solution began by removing “.fm” and refining Setlist into a stronger standalone mark, introducing the custom Beacon Green crown of the “i” as a distinctive signal within the identity. That system then extended naturally into Setlist Shop—creating a fresh commerce expression that could live alongside the core platform rather than compete with it.

Results.

The evolved identity moved from concept into a working brand ecosystem—launching across the Setlist platform, Setlist Shop, digital advertising, promotional campaigns and merchandise. The system gave Setlist Shop its own commerce presence while maintaining an immediate visual relationship with the core brand.

Rather than creating a separate destination, the new Shop became a natural extension of the existing fan experience—giving the internal team a cohesive system designed to grow across future marketing and commerce touchpoints.

The assignment wasn’t to make Setlist look newer. It was to make the brand stronger without losing what made it familiar—then build a commerce experience that felt like it had always belonged there.
